The GATEPAC and some of their Keys through the Photographic Images

Resumen Abstract
Los distintos movimientos y corrientes surgidas a lo largo de la historia de la arquitectura han tenido en la fotografía –por regla general– una fiel aliada a la hora de transmitir sus ideales a la sociedad. En este artículo se efectúa una revisión actualizada sobre determinados ideales de la modernidad ligados al hombre y su hábitat –y ejemplificados en el caso español– como pudieran ser la denuncia de las condiciones de vida, el concepto higienista o la importancia de la vida al aire libre. Estas reflexiones se canalizan y enfocan desde la óptica con la que un grupo de fotógrafos se encargó de transmitir estos conceptos, principalmente en la década de los años treinta. Gracias a las imágenes legadas por esos profesionales, descubriremos el interés de grupos como el GATEPAC hacia determinados aspectos del habitar que subyacen tras sus proyectos.
The different movements and currents emerged over the history of architecture have had in the photography –as a general rule– a faithful ally when transmitting his ideals to society. This article is an updated review about certain ideals of modernity linked to the man and his habitat –and exemplified in the Spanish case– as could be the complaint of the living conditions, the hygienist concept or the importance of the outdoor life. These reflections are channeled and focus from the optical who a group of photographers were instructed to transmit these concepts, mainly in the 30’s. Thanks to the images left by these professionals, we will discover the interest of groups like the GATEPAC about certain aspects of living that underlie their projects.
